A bevy of stalwarts from different walks of life, including founder of Reliance Industries Dhirubhai Ambani, former Governor Jagmohan, actors Anupam Kher and Ajay Devgn and badminton star Saina Nehwal were honoured with Padma awards today.

Anupam Kher received the Padma Bhushan in a ceremony in New Delhi on Monday. Ajay Devgn, in a black bandhgala, received the Padma Shri. The Padma Awards are being handed out in two separate ceremonies. On Tuesday, Rajinikanth will receive the Padma Vibhushan while Priyanka will receive the Padma Shri

Sikander is currently busy promoting his film Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive. "My dad called me and said that he is getting a Padma Bhushan. I was damn excited when he called me. I was shooting for 24 in Pune. I told everybody on the sets about it. It's a great honour and I think dad deserves this. He is a great man," said Sikander
