Amitabh Bachchan will receive the Best Actor prize for his role in Shoojit Sircar's Piku, while Kangana Ranaut will take home the Best Actress trophy for her double role in Aanand L Rai's Tanu Weds Manu Returns. This is Mr Bachchan's fourth win and third for Kangana.
"I feel that it's a true appreciation for what the country feels for the film. I am very happy and proud that I was a part of it and Kabir is somebody who is to be credited. I am very happy as I feel that a National Award is such a big deal," said Mini Mathur
"Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a film which has got a lot of love since its release. It's a film that talks about love and overcoming boundaries between communities. For a film like this to get box office success and a National Award makes a perfect combination," said Kabir Khan. Kabir had also directed Salman in Ek Tha Tiger
