Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan first look: Some scenes will be shot in Delhi and the film is expected to release in August
Compliments for 2.0 first look poured in from several of Akshay Kumar's colleagues - Sidharth Malhotra (who helped promote Akshay's film Rustom), his Housefull 3 co-star Riteish Deshmukh and Bhumi Pednekar with whom Akshay is making Toilet: Ek Prem Katha
Akshay tweeted a photograph of himself with Bhumi in which the actress is wearing a red sari and vermillion on her forehead and Akshay is seen sporting a moustache. The two are seen posing in front of a toilet. "A very good morning from Bhumi Pednekar and me from the sets of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' First day it is...need your best wishes," Akshay tweeted on Sunday
"No, I haven't opted out of the film. The director was replaced and then I got busy with Meri Pyaari Bindu. Even Bhumi got busy with her next film. The dates were not matching and it got delayed. If we get time in the future, we should do that film," Ayushmann said
Badho Bahu, a 260-episode-long show, was compared to the 2015 National Award-winning film Dum Laga Ke Haisha, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar
According to sources, almost half of the film had to be shot in northern India, during the winters but since it has been raining across the country, the schedule has been put on hold
Deepika Padukone is charming the city by her style while Hrithik Roshan and Sonakshi Sinha are busy practicing for their performance at IIFA. Bhumi Pednekar was happy even after losing her wallet.
"There have been several rumours doing the round that Bhumi will be starring in Gustakhiyan and Mr Bhansali's next directorial venture. However, there is no truth to this, as she has not been offered either of these films"
"It's very humbling to see that my performance was appreciated a lot and that's what I am proud of. There is nothing more important to me than my craft and I really hope that even in the future, apart from the way I look, the only thing that people will speak about is my work and performance," said Bhumi Pednekar
"I don't have a favourite genre as I have done only one film. I do not know what kind of films I will do. I literally go by my instinct while I read a script. As an actor, I think I should be capable of doing every kind of film. I don't want to stick to a certain kind of film," said Bhumi Pednekar
"It is because of his (Aditya) vision that Dum Laga Ke Haisha happened. It is an unusual film where characters are so complex and the hero and heroine are unconventional. It takes courage to green light a project like this. I had to thank him (Aditya Chopra), as whatever I am today professionally, it is because of him," said Bhumi
"With Dum Laga Ke Haisha, I have got more respect as an actor. When Aditya Chopra offered me the film, he never expected that I will do it. It happened after Vicky Donor. He thought that I will go the mainstream way doing conventional hero roles," said Ayushmann Khurrana
