Farhan Akhtar and his estranged wife Adhuna Bhabani were granted a divorce by a family court in Mumbai on Monday
"There is so much untruth in these stories that I don't know where to start in denying them," Farhan said
"Regardless of what I would say, people will still talk. I don't want to comment," Farhan told PTI when asked about the alleged link-ups. After Farhan and Adhuna separated, gossip mills were abuzz with growing romance between Farhan and his Wazir co-star Aditi. Later, he was linked to Kalki Koechlin
Asked about the split Shabana Azmi told PTI, "I don't think I owe the world any explanation." The actress refused to comment further about the much-talked about break-up. Farhan and Adhuna recently announced their decision to separate 'mutually and amicably'
"I think we (actors) are kind of fortunate that we have a reason apart from just staying fit, that you can do something about it (fitness) and bring it into performance. So, there's even more motivation to keep doing it (staying fit)," Farhan said
For us, it's a blessing (not the breakup, what do you take us for?), but the statement -- a mark of changing ways in Bollywood, possibly even the new norm - and that is something we can give thanks for. No more mysterious silences, no blank stares, no ignoring questions
A statement on behalf of the couple read: "This is to announce that we, Adhuna and Farhan, have mutually and amicably decided to separate. Our children remain our priority and it is immensely important to us, as responsible parents, that they be protected from unwarranted speculation and public glare"
