"The wonderful thing about being an actor is that people are interested in what you do. But there are also several misleading and untrue articles that come out. And because I am not on any social media platform yet, I don't have the chance to contradict every rumour," said Katrina Kaif

"Many people told me not to shoot in Kashmir and asked me to shoot either in Himachal Pradesh or abroad. But Kashmir has a different beauty altogether. Dal Lake in Kashmir is something and I can't take it away from the film. I was adamant that I will make my film in Kashmir," said Abhishek Kapoor

"Havisham's character doesn't make you feel the pain she went through after her lover left her at the altar on the day of her wedding in the novel. I have not made a caricature. I have tried to make her dilemma and problems far more believable. The film is about real emotions," said Abhishek Kapoor

"I had read the book several years earlier, during my childhood in school. The heart and soul of the book is very basic. In any country or place, people are able to relate to this story because it is about love and heartbreak. I thought that this story will be amazing for our Indian audiences, who will like the story," said Abhishek Kapoor

When asked if the character of Tabu has any association with Pakistan, the director said, "Not really Pakistan. It is not an anti-Pakistan film. There are moments in the film when the character behaves in a certain way." He added: "I am not expecting any kind of trouble. I have not done anything wrong"

After sharing the teaser poster of his upcoming film Fitoor, director Abhishek Kapoor shared the treated his fans with the character posters of the film's lead cast. Katrina Kaif's Firdaus looked fiery in red hair, Aditya Roy Kapur as Noor looked determined. Begum Hazrat, Tabu, looked regal just like her name:
