The curious case of the Kangana Ranaut-Aditya Pancholi controversy is picking up steam days after Hrithik Roshan dismissed Kangana's array of accusations in a strongly-worded statement

A feud between actors Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan that started with different versions of whether they dated, has leapfrogged from tabloid fodder to swapped legal notices and now, a cyber-crime case. The Mumbai police has asked to see Ms Ranaut at a police station within a week.

Mathai's lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee says the criminal notice has been sent under Section 295 A of the Indian Penal Code over Hrithik's "unwarranted and uncalled for comments made against the highly respected Pope Francis" on Twitter. "My client wants a written public apology from Hrithik Roshan within seven days," he adds

"A notice was sent by Hrithik's lawyer. It was regarding the application of mind because the notice of defamation was sent to Kangana without showing any such instances where the defamation was actually made out. Sources said Hrithik Roshan's legal notice alleges that Kangana Ranaut is trying to create an image in the film industry, print and social media of her and Hrithik having had a relationship. Hrithik's side alleges that there was no such relationship and that she has been trying to propagate false ideas to gain cheap publicity
