Steps should be taken to protect the rights of children and ensure the well-being of child artistes, eminent speakers at an open forum organised as part of the ongoing 18th International Children Film Festival of India (ICFFI) have said.
Making a pitch to promote and patronise children's films in India, veteran Bollywood lyricist-director Gulzar today said that not enough cinema is being made for children.
With renewed interest in children's films, especially animation, the 18th International Children's Film Festival, India, (ICFFI) is set to carry forward the trend by presenting an interesting bouquet of 200 films from 48 countries. Starting today, the event is expected to be attended by 150,000 children.
Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and veteran filmmaker Gulzar are likely to attend the inaugural ceremony of the 18th International Children's Film Festival of India (ICFFI) to be held in Hyderabad from November 14-20.
