"I saw Jazbaa and I loved the film. I'm very proud of my wife. The entire team of Sanjay Gupta, Irrfan Khan and others worked hard for the film. I am very, very proud of my wife," Abhishek told reporters at the opening ceremony of 17th Jio MAMI Mumbai International Film Festival
Irrfan, who worked with Sircar in comedy-drama film Piku, shared a quote of Mr Sircar on Twitter. "Irrfan just terrific..Undoubtedly you are one of the best actor we have. And you are my superstar too," Mr Sircar had said. Irrfan, who was last seen onscreen in Jazbaa, played a CBI officer in Talvar, which was based on the 2008 murder of Aarushi Talwar and her family's domestic servant Hemraj
"Hollywood projects have nothing to do with my career here. The perception of you as an actor definitely changes as the audience sees our man doing great work there. It changes their perception in Hollywood. But in the Indian industry, it doesn't help to get you good work," said Irrfan
Jazbaa has been regarded as the Guzaarish actress' comeback movie but her co-star Irrfan believes otherwise. "For me she was always here. She didn't go anywhere. An actor should be allowed a gap. Her audience is still with her. People are her fan, her admirers, and they'll definitely go to watch her," he said in an interview to PTI
On August 25, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made an appearance on the sets of TV reality show Dance India Dance with Irrfan Khan to promote their upcoming movie Jazbaa
