"When we set out to make this film, we made a very conscious decision not to have anything attached to Kahaani. We made a separate story; it has to be completely independent. We are going to be compared so rather not attach any spill over from Kahaani," said Sujoy Ghosh

Kahaani 2 reunites Vidya and Sujoy for a second time and this time, Arjun Rampal is an addition to the cast. Whether any of the other cast members of the first instalment, like Nawazuddin Siddiqui or Parambrata Chatterjee, will return is as yet unknown
A source close to the actress revealed that she was diagnosed with Dengue on Thursday and has been advised bed rest for the next 10-15 days by her doctor
"There is a misconception. When I was trying to sell Kahaani to people, they were like what a stupid script it is. Unfortunately, everybody feels once the climax is known, the film has no value. They think a thriller film doesn't have a repeat value," said Sujoy Ghosh
"We have done another film (Kahaani 2) together and I am glad that it has worked out. Maybe, Kahaani 2 was meant to be with Sujoy and me. Therefore, we patched up," said Vidya Balan
Vidya shared the news on Twitter with a 20-second video. The Paa star captioned the video: "Another mother of a story", which also is the tagline of the film
