Parched is less lyrical than other desert sagas in the past. More brutal. Yet beautiful. The women seem to take to the patriarchal clobbering with a great deal of reluctance and a whole lot of sisterly camaraderie
"Parched. A film about women, friendships and simply being brave enough to find a happier ending. Being happy could just b a guilt free choice," Kajol tweeted on Monday.
Produced by Ajay Devgn, Parched tracks the tale of struggle of Rani, Lajjo, Janki and Bijli played by Tannishtha Chatterjee, Radhika, Lehar Khan and Surveen Chawla respectively. The emotional tone of the trailer fluctuates between happiness, frustration and an urge to break free on the part of the protagonists
