Akshay's Rustom released alongside Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro. Akshay emerged as the winner as Rustom has earned over Rs 49 crore in the country
"I am a true believer in the fact that it (cigarette) is the worst evil manufactured and sold in this world. It should not exist. As far as anti-smoking disclaimers are concerned, I don't know if that is the right way," Hrithik told IANS here during the promotion of his latest film Mohenjo Daro.
"I am pleasantly surprised by the positive reviews for Mohenjo Daro. It is encouraging that we have received better reviews than most were expecting," Hrithik said in a statement
Mohenjo Daro, a colossal waste of cinematic resources, is an arrow that is already out of the quiver. The damage is done
"There are only theories. There's no recorded proof, it's pre-history. There is no record of whether it is accurate or whether it is not accurate, there are just theories which have been floated by historians. The director has had to pick one theory and construct this film based on that," Hritihik Roshan told NDTV
Twitter was filled with the customary good wishes for each star ahead of Friday - a relief if not for Hrithik, then for his fans because the past week has seen Mohenjo Daro largely ignored as a carefully orchestrated celebrity campaign endorsed Akshay's film.
Movie-goers are in for a history lesson this weekend as two period films - Mohenjo Daro and Rustom - release today
"It was easy to put my faith in his vision the second time over," Hrithik said about director Ashutosh Gowariker.
"I thought, why not weave a story based on the findings of all these archaeologists, and try and do it to the utmost sincerity and honesty. Keep the fact as much as you can intact, but also weave in fiction, because only then can a story be told, and a cinematic story too," Ashutosh said.
"Ashutosh Gowariker has got a lot of very interesting musical sensibilities and he loves the process of creating music. So with him, he picks up the right tunes, he picks up the right lyrics and picturises them with so much of passion. So it's always a pleasure working with Ashutosh. Some of the iconic songs I have done are in his movies. 'Yeh Jo Des' or 'Khwaja Mere Khwaja' and from Lagaan songs like 'Chale Chalo' and 'Mitwa'"
"I have never worn a turban in my life before. But I wore one on the stage of Dance + because I'm stunned and moved by their performance on stage. I just couldn't resist to shake a leg with them and get my Punjabi moves out on the stage," Hrithik said in a statement
"3 days to go for my debut, here's another debut on dubsmash for me with @ihrithik's debut song #TooMuchDebuting," Pooja Hegde wrote on Twitter
