Goa Children's court will tomorrow hear arguments on the anticipatory bail plea filed by pop singer Remo Fernandes, booked by state police for verbally abusing a 17-year-old girl who was allegedly hit by his son Johan's car last month.

The Aam Aadmi Party in Goa has taken a guarded stand over the legal issues being faced by pop singer Remo Fernandes, who had penned a jingle for the party during the 2014 Lok Sabha polls campaign and was believed to be a supporter of the party.

"We have filed a criminal complaint against Remo and Jonah under Section 17 of Citizenship Act, 1955. Remo had joined a political party and was the brand ambassador for the Election Commission of India, despite being a Portuguese national, whereas Jonah was using an Indian driving licence despite being a French citizen," said Kashinath Shetye

Pop singer Remo Fernandes filed an intervention application today before Goa Children's Court here stating he has no objection in the court monitoring the investigation into the case in which he is accused of threatening a minor girl who was allegedly knocked down by his son's car.

Goa Police has initiated the process to issue a second lookout notice against noted pop singer Remo Fernandes in a case where he is accused of threatening a minor girl, while his son failed to turn up for questioning in the matter today.

Goa Police today issued fresh summons to singer Remo Fernandes and his son Jonah in connection with a case filed against the artist for allegedly threatening a minor girl who was hit by his son's car.
