Mani Ratnam and A R Rahman have collaborated again for the Tamil Romantic film Kaatru Veliyidai, which releases on Friday. Mr Ratnam said, "Rahman and I are always happy to work together. We didn't plan we are going to continue working for 25 years"
A R Rahman was photographed on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show in Mumbai on Thursday and he had a lot of fun with Kapil and the rest of the cast. Rahman also posed for a photograph with the cast and crew of the film
"Stardom doesn't appeal to me in anyway. Of course, I want people to like my work, but in my mind I've consciously created a line where I don't think of myself as a big star. I don't expect people to know my name. I don't get offended if people don't know me," said Arvind
"I never wanted to be an actor. I was a reluctant actor but the process of making those films was what I really enjoyed," the Roja actor disclosed
Titled the Evolution of A R Rahman, the medley is a customised selection of Voctronica's favourite songs, including Yeh Haseen Wadiyan from Roja, Ghanan Ghanan from Lagaan, Paathshaala from Rang De Basanti, Tere bina from Guru, and Behka from Ghajini
"I am a big fan of him Rahman. He inspires us so much with his music. Actually, the scenario of Indian music completely changed when he came in. I remember when the music of Roja was launched, the whole country's perspective towards music changed," said Vishal Bhardwaj
The special tribute will feature the Bombay director in person with a trilogy of films that follow lovers against a backdrop of Indian politics.
"I still see myself as a heroine, who need not always be 18 or 20. When I say heroine, I'm referring to the main character in a movie," says the actress

Ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam, a regular at film festivals across the globe, attends the movie extravaganzas as a movie buff because he feels every film teaches something worthwhile.
"All these stories I wanted to make into films. I wanted to get them out of my system," he said.
Roja fame Tamil actor Arvind Swamy is set to return to Bollywood with Mahesh Manjrekar's untitled bilingual project.
