Brie Larson picked up the Golden Globe for Best Actress (Drama) for her role in Room. Brie defeated Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara nominated for lesbian drama film Carol, Saoirse Ronan of Brooklyn and Alicia Vikander of The Danish Girl, to win the honour
