Akshay Kumar launched Rustom's Radio trailer in the voice of veteran Radio presenter Ameen Sayani, on Twitter on Monday.
Rustom, directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, features Akshay Kumar as naval commander Rustom Pavri, a fictionalised version of K M Nanavati who was tried and acquitted for the murder of his wife's lover
"Congrats @akshaykumar . Loved the #rustom trailer. Good choices maketh d man. I'm sure u agree @mrsfunnybones :) God bless," Actor Hrithik Roshan, whose Mohenjo Daro is set to clash with Rustom on the box office on August 12, tweeted.
There were reports that trailer of Ajay Devgn's Shivaay and teaser of Aditya's Befikre, which he directs, will come out with Sultan
After shooting Vikram dead, Rustom pleads not guilty - the Bollywood twist to the real life story in which the murderer instantly gave himself up to the police
Rustom is based on the famous Nanavati case of 1959 that led to the scrapping of the jury system in India. Akshay's Rustom Pavri is presumably a fictionalized version of Commander Kawas Manekshaw Nanavati, a naval officer who was tried for murdering his wife's lover
Akshay, who occupies most of the frame, can also be seen walking along a deserted road in the poster. Marks of gun shots, a newspaper article and a band which reads "traitor" in bright read add much drama to the otherwise simple picture

"One of those moments when you sit back, relax and take it all in. Isn't that what vacations are for," Akshay Kumar wrote on his Instagram account.
