Reacting to the incident in which a CRPF commando opened the car door for Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, newly appointed Director-General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Kuldiep Singh said that opening the doors of the car out of courtesy by a CRPF commando is not in the mandate but if it is done as part of security, it should be done.

The Y-plus security cover to actress Kangana Ranaut has been provided based on a request from her father to the state government in her native Himachal Pradesh, which in turn forwarded it to the Centre, Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy said on Friday.

Actor Kangana Ranaut arrived in Mumbai today to heavy security and an intense battle with the Maharashtra government shortly after scoring a big win against the city's civic body BMC, which had started demolishing alleged illegal structures at her office.
