After Income Tax raids at his office and elsewhere including those connected with his latest release 'Puli', top Tamil actor Vijay faced more nervous moments today with the film's release being threatened over payment issues.

The release of Puli had hit a roadblock after early morning shows and overseas premieres of the film were cancelled due to payment issues. However, the issues are now resolved and the film has released in India and abroad. Hansika Motwani tweeted: "All issues sorted. It's time to Roar. It's time for #Puli. it's #showtime"

Puli's overseas distributor Atmus Entertainment Puli said that the local distributors did not allow overseas release without local clearance. "Money from Telugu distributor pending to close financier." They also said, "Vijay finally was able to come out of home after raid and immediately agreed to pay the pending amount"
