New Delhi: Actress Priyanka Chopra, who is all set for the release of her first Hollywood film Baywatch, teased about her character, Victoria Leeds, saying her backstory is "ambiguous." The 34-year-old actress told news agency IANS: "We have not established where Victoria is from. So that is very ambiguous. There is a scene that unveils a little back story of the character where how she faced gender discrimination as a child and later became rich and powerful out of that angst. Such situations 'also' happen in the Indian society, but the story does not say that she is an Indian. I am not giving away much about the character."

Victoria Leeds may or may not have an Indian connection, but Priyanka Chopra says that she 'becomes desi when she is emotional.' Priyanka headlines the cast of American television show Quantico, in which she plays the role of CIA agent Alex Parrish and said that when she got emotional, she delivered her dialogues in Indian accent rather than the American accent she has adopted for her character.

"There are some (long working) days when maybe, I am saying a dialogue (of Alex) in my way with an Indian accent. And then my dialect coach would come and remind me that I have to maintain Alex, an American girl. You know, whenever I get emotional or angry, I suddenly become 'desi' and my desi accent comes out," she told IANS.

Priyanka Chopra, last featured in Bollywood film jai Gangaajal, will reportedly be next seen in a biopic on astronaut Kalpana Chawla. Priyanka hasn't announced her upcoming projects yet, but she has promised to make three Hindi films soon.

Meanwhile, Baywatch, co-starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, releases on May 25.
